Severn Leadership Group is a network of leaders committed to serving others above self. Service is at the heart of everything we do so it is no surprise that our work is carried out almost completely by volunteers who give generously of their time, talent, and treasure. We are dedicated to serving our volunteers through training, support, and opportunities to use and develop their gifts and passions while creating a better future for all. There are two main ways to support SLG through service: becoming a team member or a team leader.
Team members make up the vast majority of our volunteer corps. They serve at events, within cohorts, and on projects. These opportunities are perfect for those who have limited availability but would still like to offer their skills. Examples of teams include membership, communications, fundraising, events, curriculum and training, administrative, and alumni programs.
Team leaders are critical to the success of SLG. They serve as board members, directors, managers, and coordinators. These positions are perfect for leaders with a little more time to commit and are passionate about the SLG mission. With greater responsibility comes greater support in the way of additional training, professional development, and certifications from SLG.
